Hereward Ventures PLC07 March 2005 Hereward Ventures plc (AIM:HEB) Drilling operations at Sandhills-2 and Bouldnor Copse-1, Isle of Wight The directors of Hereward Ventures plc ("Herward") are pleased to announce thatthe operator, Northern Petroleum Plc, has informed its partners that anestimated date for the commencement of drilling operations on its Sandhills-2site on the Isle of Wight has been agreed with British Drilling and FreezingLimited, the drilling contractors. Rig 28 is expected to reach the drill site on 21 April 2005. The drilling of theBouldnor Copse-1 exploration well is scheduled to immediately follow operationsat the Sandhills-2 appraisal well. Hereward holds a 7.5% interest in the Sandhills-2 appraisal well and a 10%interest in the Bouldnor Copse-1 exploration well.
