Board Changes
Northern Petroleum Plc (AIM:NOP) announces that Mr Anthony Brewer and Mr Jeremy White have stepped down from their roles as Non-executive Directors of the Board with immediate effect.
Mr Stewart Gibson, former Chief Executive Officer of TSX-V listed Sterling Resources Ltd., has been appointed to Northern's Board of Directors as a new Non-executive Director. Stewart holds a B.Sc. (Hon.) in Geology and a M.Sc. in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering. He has over 40 years of industry experience including periods at BP, Occidental and Bow Valley Energy and as a Director at Sterling Resources Ltd. for over 10 years.
The Company is currently undertaking a recruitment search process to identify one further Non-executive Director to bring the board up to the planned full complement of six directors.
Keith Bush, Chief Executive Officer of Northern, commented:

Stewart Glen Gibson is aged 65 and has no interest in the Company's shares. Mr Gibson has been a director or member of the following companies or partnerships during the last five years:

1PVIL is incorporated in Australia. Stewart Gibson resigned from the board of PVIL in March 2013, on 13 September 2013, Administrators, Scott Langdon & Cliff Rocke of Korda Mentha, were appointed by the PVIL board and the company is currently under administration.
Other than the information set out above there is no other information required to be disclosed in connection with the appointment of Mr Gibson under AIM Rule 17 and Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
