Following Northern Petroleum¢â‚¬â„¢s announcement as of 09.39am, Friday 27 April 2007, the issuer wishes to advise that the last sentence of the first paragraph has been corrected to read as follows:
Following the admission, the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 70,419,851.

Northern Petroleum Plc ("the Company") Additional Listing (correction)
The Company announces that, following the exercise of warrants on 25 April 2007 to subscribe for ordinary shares, it has made an application pursuant to the authority granted on 26 July 2006 for the admission of 200,000 Ordinary Shares of 5 pence each to trading on AIM. Each new ordinary share will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares. Following the admission, the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 70,419,851.
It is expected that dealings in the said shares will commence on 4 May 2007.

The Company has the second largest exploration position in Italy of licences under management where activities can be expected to pick-up as the result of the extra funds now available. In addition the Company has announced plans to drill a projected eastward extension of the producing Horndean oil field in West Sussex and another exploration well in the county.
