("Northern Petroleum" or "the Company")

Change of Company name

Northern Petroleum (AIM: NOP), the AIM quoted oil and gas company focused on production led growth balanced with high impact exploration and appraisal opportunities, has changed its name to Cabot Energy Plc, effective from today.

The Company's website, which includes the information required by AIM Rule 26, is now www.cabot-energy.com and from 29 June 2017, the Company's ticker on the London Stock Exchange will be CAB.L.

Keith Bush, Chief Executive Officer of Cabot Energy, commented:

"John Cabot was an Italian explorer who raised money from merchants in London and Bristol to pay for his expedition to Newfoundland in Canada, initiating a century of British transatlantic exploration. Cabot Energy now look to follow his success."
