Regulatory Announcement - 1st Half 2009 Unaudited Results 

31 July, 2009

Byblos Bank's unaudited consolidated net profit before minority interest for the six months ended 30 June, 2009 increased by 3.0% to U.S.$ 62.69 million as compared to U.S.$ 60.87 million for the same period in 2008. Total assets increased by 9.5% during the first half of 2009 to U.S.$ 12.3 billion as at 31 June, 2009, as compared to U.S. $11.2 billion at the end of 2008. Customers' deposits increased during the first half of 2009 by 11.7% to U.S.$ 9.3 billion as at 30 June, 2009, and net customers' loans increased during the first half of 2009 by 2.6% to U.S.$ 2.9 billion as at 30 June, 2009.
