Appointment of new non-executive directors

N Brown Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Gill Barr and Michael Ross as Non-Executive Directors with effect from 16 January 2018.

Gill Barr is currently a Non-Executive Director of PayPoint plc, Wincanton plc, and a Trustee Director of Willis Towers Watson's master trust, LifeSight Ltd. She is also the Chair of the Customer Challenge Group for Severn Trent Water Plc. Gill Barr was previously a Non-Executive Director of Morgan Sindall Plc. She was Group Marketing Director of The Co-operative Group, Marketing Director of John Lewis and she spent seven years at Kingfisher Plc in a variety of senior strategy, marketing and business development roles. 

Michael Ross is the Co-founder and Chief Scientist of DynamicAction which is a leader in big data analytics and AI for retail. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Sainsbury's Bank, and sits on the commercial development board at the Turing Institute. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of figleaves.com, and started his career at McKinsey consulting in the early days of the internet.

Upon appointment Gill will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee and Michael will become the Chair of the CSR Committee.

As per the announcement made on 12 May 2017, now that a successor has been appointed, Fiona Laird has stepped down from the board effective 16 January 2018. The Chairman, Andrew Higginson, expressed his thanks to Fiona for her contributions during her time serving on the board and as Chair of the Remuneration and CSR Committees.

The Chairman is pleased to welcome Gill and Michael to the board.

There are no further matters to be disclosed under LR 9.6.11 & LR 9.6.13.
