N BROWN GROUP STRENGTHEN ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of N Brown Group, the internet and catalogue home shopping company, today announces the appointment of Ivan Fallon as Deputy Chairman and Anna Ford as non-executive Director.  Both appointments will take effect on 1st March 2009.

Ivan Fallon is Chief Executive of Independent News & Media (UK) and a director of Independent News & Media plc. He has been an independent non-executive director of the N Brown Group for several years and is currently Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Anna Ford is a well-known broadcast journalist and has worked in TV and radio for over 30 years. She is a trustee of "Forum for the Future", an eco-friendly body aiming at improving sustainability in the environment. Anna has both strong family and career ties with Manchester. She is an alumnus of University of Manchester, and was Chancellor until last year. She is currently a non-executive Director on the Board of J Sainsbury's plc.

The board confirms there are no further disclosures to be made under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Anna Ford's appointment or paragraph 9.6.11 in relation to Ivan Fallon's appointment.
