Appointment of non-executive director

The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of David Stewart as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. Mr Stewart will also become a member of the Audit Committee and the Risk & Compliance Committee.

Mr Stewart (aged 52) is currently the Chairman of Enra Group, and holds non-executive director positions of HSBC Private Bank (UK) Limited, LSL Property Services plc and M&S Bank.

Mr Stewart is a Chartered Accountant and was the Chief Executive Officer of Coventry Building Society from 2006 to 2014, having joined the Board as Finance Director in 2002. Prior to that Mr Stewart was Joint Group Chief Executive and then Group Chief Executive of DBS Management plc.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Knight, Chairman of Brooks Macdonald, said:
