British Polythene Industries PLC (the "Company")

Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) Acquisition of Shares

The Company has been informed that the Trustees of the British Polythene Industries Plc LTIP have acquired, on 8 March 2010, 1000,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company at a price of £2.875 per share. The shares were acquired for use in the LTIP. Mr JT Langlands, Mr D Harris, Mr D Duthie, Mr A Green, Mr M Huyghe, Dr D Pendlebury and Dr I McDarmaid, as Executive Directors and PDMRs of the Company, are beneficiaries of the LTIP and as such they have an interest in the shares for the purposes of DTR 3.1.
