Notice of Change of Auditor
B&M European Value Retail S.A. (the "Company") announces its intention to appoint KPMG Luxembourg Société Coopérative ("KPMG") as the Group's external auditor (réviseur d'entreprises agréé) for the financial year ending 31 March 2017. Shareholder approval to confirm the appointment of KPMG will be sought at the Annual General Meeting in 2016.
The intention to change the Group's auditor follows a recommendation made by the Audit & Risk Committee to the Board of Directors after a review and formal tender process conducted by the Audit & Risk Committee.
Grant Thornton Lux Audit S.A., the Group's current external auditor, will continue in that role and will carry out the external audit for the year ending 31 March 2016, having been re-appointed at the Annual General Meeting in 2015.
Ron McMillan, Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Company said: "We would like to thank Grant Thornton for their work as auditors and for their professionalism in carrying out that role for the Group for the last 18 years or more. The Audit & Risk Committee have carried out a thorough external audit tender process and we look forward to working with KPMG commencing from the 2016-17 financial year."
