APPOINTMENT OF NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Berkeley Group Holdings plc today announces that Peter Vernon will join the Board as a Non-executive Director following the conclusion of today's Annual General Meeting.
Peter is Group Executive Director at Grosvenor where he has responsibility for overseeing the Group's operating companies in North America, Asia and Britain and Ireland with an active programme of real estate investment and development in 11 world cities and assets under management of over £8.5bn. During the period 2008 to 2016, Peter was Chief Executive of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, the private real estate investment and development Company with holdings in London and around the UK.
Peter is also a Trustee of Peabody, the Housing Association that owns and manages more than 55,000 homes across London and the South East, housing over 111,000 residents.
Commenting on the appointment, Tony Pidgley Chairman of the Berkeley Group said:
"I am delighted that Peter has agreed to join the Board of Berkeley. His deep experience of place making, regeneration and delivering homes of all tenures in London will make him a valuable addition to Berkeley's Board".
There are no further details to be disclosed under 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
