PUBLICATION OF BASE PROSPECTUS AND RATING

Babcock International Group PLC announced today that a base prospectus (the "Base Prospectus") relating to the £1,800,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme (the "Programme") of Babcock International Group PLC, unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by certain other companies in the Babcock Group, has been approved by the UK Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and will shortly be available for viewing on the website of the National Storage Mechanism operated by the UKLA.

The Issuer and the Programme have been assigned a rating of BBB by Standard & Poor's Credit Market Services Europe Limited.
