AVON WINS NEW DEFENCE CONTRACT

Avon is pleased to announce that it has won, through its US based subsidiary Avon Engineered Fabrications, Inc. based in Mississippi, a five year contract for the supply of 210,000 gallon fuel storage tanks to Applied Geo Technologies Inc. for onward supply to the US Army. 

We expect to deliver the initial order against this contract of approximately $10m in the next financial year. 

Peter Slabbert, Chief Executive commented: "We are delighted to have secured the award of this multi-year contract. It will contribute significantly towards our objective of returning the Group to profitability."
