Completion of Subscription
Further to the announcement of 12 September 2016, Aura Energy Limited (ASX:AEE/AIM:AURA) is pleased to advise shareholders that it has closed its Australian Placement and raised £607,050 (A$1,065,000). The Australian Placement will result in the Company issuing 53,450,000 fully paid ordinary shares (including 200,000 fully paid ordinary shares in equity raising costs) at a price of 1.14 pence (A$0.02) per share (“Australian Placement Shares”). (In total, the Company has raised £2,851,526 (A$5,002,677) from the AIM listing and the Australian Placement and has issued 254,271,526 fully paid ordinary shares.)
Commenting on the AIM Admission and Australian Placement, Mr Peter Reeve, Executive Chairman of Aura said “The equity raising initiative has been an outstanding success. The completion of the AIM Admission earlier this week and supplementing the funds raised on the AIM with the Australian Placement has provided the Company with the necessary funds to re-commence the feasibility study at the Tiris project in Mauritania, progress the Haggan project in Sweden as well as provide working capital.”
Application has been made to admit the Australian Placement Shares to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to become effective and dealings are expected to commence on 23 September 2016 and the shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing shares in issue.
The share capital of the Company following Admission will be 711,319,938 fully paid ordinary shares with voting rights attached (one vote per ordinary share). There are no shares held by the Company in treasury. The number of shares on issue may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interests in, or a change to their interest in, the Company.
