Trading update

Augean, one of the UK's leading specialist waste management businesses, provides the following trading update. Due to a strong Group trading performance in the third quarter, the Group's profit for the year to 31 December 2019 is expected to be materially ahead of current published consensus market expectations of an adjusted profit before tax of £16.5m. Results for the year to date have benefitted from a 20% increase in landfill volumes across all waste types, improved landfill pricing by a further 20%, increased radioactive waste profit and a good performance by both the treatment and North Sea businesses.
