RIOΒ TINTOΒ MINE -Β COPPER PROJECT UPDATE
Continued ProgressΒ TowardsΒ ProductionΒ RestartΒ
EMED Mining Public Limited (the "Company"),Β the AIM quoted mining exploration and developmentΒ company,Β is pleased toΒ update shareholdersΒ regardingΒ developments at its Rio Tinto Mine. ContinuedΒ progress of the permittingΒ processΒ relating toΒ theΒ start-up of production has led the Company to implementΒ aΒ number ofΒ stepsΒ as follows:
Having submitted the principal project applications and consulted Spanish experts on the various remaining aspects, the Company will shortly submit the other principal documentation for permitting - the environmentalΒ assessment and improvement plans;
Having established excellent relations with local government and regulatory authorities, the Company has appointedΒ additionalΒ expertΒ SpanishΒ advisersΒ for corporate social responsibility policy and monitoringΒ going forward;
Having recently acquired 100% ownership, the senior executives of theΒ GroupΒ haveΒ been appointedΒ to theΒ BoardsΒ of theΒ nowΒ wholly-owned Spanish subsidiaries EMED Spain and EMED Tartessus;
Having installed our own site leadershipΒ team, the Company continuallyΒ refinesΒ detailed planning for operational start-upΒ includingΒ improvementsΒ toΒ infrastructure, operating practices and the condition of the site.
Group Managing Director and Chairman ofΒ theΒ subsidiaries,Β Harry Anagnostaras-AdamsΒ said -
