Ashmore Group PLC12 September 2007 Not for release, publication or distribution in or into the United States,Canada, Japan, France, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland ASHMORE GROUP PLC ("Ashmore") Pricing of Placing Ashmore announces the pricing of a placing of 24,063,750 ordinary shares of0.01p in Ashmore (the "Placing") by certain Ashmore employees and their relatedinterests. The Placing represents 3.4% of the outstanding issued share capitalof Ashmore. Goldman Sachs International ("Goldman Sachs") and UBS Limited("UBS") acted as joint global co-ordinators and bookrunners. The Placing was priced at 240p per Ashmore ordinary share. Members of the public are not eligible to take part in the Placing.
