Ashmore Group plc (the "Company") has been notified in accordance with DTR 3.1.2R on 26 September 2008 by Julian Green, a person discharging managerial responsibility within the Company for the purposes of section 96B(1) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, of the following transactions relating to his holding of Ordinary Shares of 0.01 pence each in the Company:
