AUDIT TENDER PROCESS

Ashmore Group plc ('Ashmore', the 'Group') announces the launch of a tender process for the role of Ashmore's external auditor in line with the requirements of the UK Corporate Governance Code.

KPMG LLP was selected as Ashmore's external auditor following a competitive tender process in March 2016 and was most recently appointed Ashmore's external auditor for the financial year ending 30 June 2023 at the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

The tender process will be overseen by the Group Audit and Risk Committee and is expected to conclude before the current financial year end on 30 June 2023. A resolution proposing the appointment of the selected firm will be put to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in October 2023, which, if approved, will mean the appointed firm will conduct the audit for the financial year ending on 30 June 2024.
