Zimbabwe Update

London, 12 February 2010- Mwana Africa PLC ("Mwana") notes the recent publication in Zimbabwe of indigenisation and economic empowerment regulations, and the resulting coverage in the media.

The Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe, of which Mwana's subsidiaries, Bindura Nickel Corporation and Freda Rebecca Gold Mine, are members, is currently in discussions with the relevant authorities with respect to the application of these regulations to the mining industry.
