New Technical Director, Gavin Berkenheger, joins the Board

The directors of Connemara Mining Plc. (AIM: CON) are delighted to welcome Gavin Berkenheger to the board. Gavin has extensive experience in Irish zinc and gold. He has worked on the Dalradian gold project in Tyrone, discovered gold on the Connemara licences in Donegal and also discovered a new gold deposit in Scotland. Gavin spent a number of years exploring for zinc in the Irish midlands. His focus will be on developing existing projects and seeking out new opportunities.

Gavin graduated from Aberdeen University in 2006 with an Honours Degree in Geology/Petroleum Geology. He is a qualified Chartered Geologist and European Geologist.

John Teeling, Chairman, commented "We are delighted to have Gavin join us on the board. He is responsible for bringing the Donegal gold project to the Company. His experience, enthusiasm and vision will play a major role in the development of the Company. I look forward to working with him."

Connemara is an active exploration company with principal assets in gold, zinc and lead exploration licences in Ireland. The company holds interests in 40 licenses covering an area of approximately 1, 290 sq km and has joint ventures with Teck and Hendrick Resources.
