Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), the Falkland Islands based exploration company focused on the North Falkland Basin, announces that it has issued 1,000,000 new ordinary shares of 2p each (the "New Ordinary Shares") pursuant to the exercise of options by John Hogan, Managing Director of the Company, at a price of 2p per New Ordinary Share.
Application has been made for admission of the New Ordinary Shares issued to trading on AIM, which is expected to occur on 8 September 2017. Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, which rank pari passu to the existing ordinary shares in the Company, the Company has 220,713,205 ordinary shares of 2p each ("Ordinary Shares") in issue, all of which have voting rights. Accordingly, this figure of 220,713,205 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company has also been notified that, subsequent to the exercise of options described above, Mr Hogan has transferred for nil consideration a total of 1,250,000 Ordinary Shares to his daughter, who is of majority age and so is not a Person Closely Associated with Mr Hogan (within the meaning of the Market Abuse Regulation) and 750,000 Ordinary Shares from his own name to a nominee account in which he holds the sole beneficial interest. As a result of these transactions, Mr Hogan's interest in the Company now stands at 1,750,000 shares, representing 0.79 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
