Pre-Close Trading Update
Arbuthnot Banking Group today releases a pre-close trading update ahead of its Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2010, which will be announced on 17 March 2011.
Trading in all of our businesses in the second half of 2010 was satisfactory and as a result the Group expects to report pre-tax profits for the full year broadly in line with market expectations.
Secure Trust Bank continues to achieve good lending growth. Arbuthnot Latham is making progress in both its private banking and its wealth management businesses. Both banks are well positioned to benefit from favourablemarket conditions for lending in 2011.
Arbuthnot Securities finished the year strongly and will record a profit for 2010. It enters 2011 with a good pipeline of corporate transactions.
