ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC today announces that effective today Sir Alan Yarrow has joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Commenting on Sir Alan's appointment, Arbuthnot Banking Group's Chairman and Chief Executive, Sir Henry Angest, said:
"We are delighted that Sir Alan Yarrow is joining our Board. Sir Alan has experience of over thirty-seven years in the City, including being Chairman of the Kleinwort Banking Group, Chairman of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Deputy Chairman of the former Financial Services Authority Practitioner Panel, a member of the Council of the British Bankers' Association and a member of the Takeover Panel."
"In addition, Sir Alan's tenure as Lord Mayor of London saw him successfully promote the City of London and the UK financial services industry to a worldwide audience."
