Board Changes
After eleven years as a director of Microgen plc, Mr Paul Davies has advised the Board of his intention not to stand for re-election at the 2012 Annual General Meeting. The Board has previously announced that Mr Ralph Kanter will also not be standing for re-election at the 2012 Annual General Meeting. The Board would like to thank them both for their considerable contribution to Microgen.
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Vanda Murray OBE as a non-executive director, effective 1 September 2011. Ms Murray will be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees and will become Chairman of the Remuneration Committee when Mr Davies retires from the Board.
Ms Murray is currently Chairman of Vphase plc, a non-executive director of Carillion plc and a non-executive director of Manchester Airport Group plc. Until 2004, Ms Murray was Chief Executive Officer of Blick plc and has extensive experience through her executive and non-executive roles.
The Board will be seeking an additional non-executive director in due course.
