 Further issue of Convertible Loan Notes 2010 (the "Convertible Loan Notes")

Issue of Convertible Loan Notes 2013

Appian Technology plc, the AIM listed provider of Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems ('ANPR') and traffic management products and solutions, announces that it has raised a further £263,000 following the issue of Convertible Loan Notes. The Convertible Loan Notes are on the same terms as those announced on 31 March 2008, which are unsecured, bear an annual interest rate of 8.25 per cent. payable quarterly in arrears and are convertible at any time into ordinary shares of £0.01 in Appian at 4 pence per share. Unless previously purchased, redeemed or converted, the Convertible Loan Notes will be repaid at par in four equal instalments on 30 June 2009, 30 September 2009, 31 December 2009 and 31 March 2010. This brings the total raised to £990,957 pursuant to the issue of the Convertible Loan Notes.

In addition, the Company announces that it has raised a further £250,000 following the issue of Convertible Loan Notes 2013 under the same terms as set out above, but to be repaid in May 2013.
