Trading Statement

Advanced Power Components plc (AIM: APC), a specialist distributor and manufacturers' representative of electronic components, today announces a trading update for the six months ended 28 February 2010.

For the period under review the Board of APC expects revenues to be in the region of £6.5 million with a net profit before tax of approximately £40,000, compared with revenues of £6.8 million and a loss before tax of £281,000 for the corresponding period in the prior year.

Whilst the return to profitability was in part the result of a number of steps taken to realign the Company's cost base with its current levels of trading, the Company also implemented a number of measures that were carefully planned to strengthen the Company's focus on technical sales, which has resulted in a number of additional promising opportunities being pursued. The Board continues to remain confident about the Company's future prospects.

The Company expects to release its interim results for the six months ended 28 February 2010 on 10 May 2010.
