Appointment of Iain Menneer as MD of Animalcare Ltd

Animalcare Group plc (AIM: ANCR), the supplier of pharmaceutical and other premium products and services to the veterinary industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Iain Menneer as Managing Director of Animalcare Ltd with immediate effect.

As Managing Director of Animalcare Ltd, Iain will have strategic and operational management of the commercial activities in the UK.

This change in management of the UK business will allow other senior managers to give greater emphasis to the acceleration of the Group's pharmaceutical new product development programme and investment opportunities. In addition, it will bring greater focus on increasing the penetration of its existing products with development and distribution partners outside the UK.

Iain Menneer joined Animalcare Ltd in December 2003 working in marketing and business development roles, with a particular focus on commercialisation of new products. Iain has been Head of Marketing since July 2009 and Director of Marketing for Animalcare Group plc from June 2011, being promoted to the Board on 1 July 2011.

Previously Iain has worked in the Research and Innovation Office at the University of York to commercialise research via licensing or spin-out companies. Iain had previously graduated with a degree and PhD in chemistry from the University of Newcastle and worked in the brewing industry for 6 years; initially in research at an independent brewing consultancy and then in new product and technical development .
