AGM Statement

Animalcare Group plc, a leading supplier of veterinary medicines, will hold its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") at 11.30am today at its head office, 10 Great North Way, York Business Park, York, YO26 6RB.

Ahead of the formal proceedings Chairman James Lambert will provide the following update to shareholders:

"The Board is pleased to report that trading in the first four months of the financial year is ahead of the prior year and in line with the Board's expectations.

The new product development pipeline has maintained momentum with the launch in Q1 of an enhanced presentation of Phenoleptil, a product used in the prevention of epileptic seizures in dogs. The enhanced presentation makes accurate dosing of patients easier. Phenoleptil was originally launched in June 2011. Preparations are in an advanced stage for the launch of two companion animal medicines in Q2.

Depending on the time required to fully develop the market for the three products outlined above we may also launch a fourth product in H2.

As announced on 25th September 2013, I am pleased to confirm that the Board has recommended the payment of an increased final dividend of 3.8 pence per share, giving a total dividend for the year of 5.3 pence per share, 17.8% higher than the previous year. This will be submitted for formal approval at the AGM today.
