Change of Directors

African Minerals Limited (AIM:AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christopher Duffy as Non-Executive Director, effective today.

Mr. Duffy, aged 51, is a partner in Clyde & Co, an international firm of lawyers based in the City of London. Mr Duffy joined Clyde & Co in 1986, becoming a partner in that firm in 1989. He is a highly experienced corporate lawyer who has advised numerous companies in relation to their activities in the UK and many other jurisdictions including, in particular, the African continent. Chris graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in law and qualified as a Solicitor in 1983. Clyde & Co are the Company's external legal advisers and will continue to act as such.

There is no information in relation to Mr. Duffy's appointment required pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM rules for Companies other than as set out in the Appendix to this announcement.

The Company also announces that Mr. Roy Pitchford, Non-Executive Director, has resigned from African Minerals effective today. 

Commenting on the Board changes, Frank Timis, Executive Chairman of African Minerals said: 

"It is with pleasure that I welcome Chris to the board of African Minerals. He brings to the Company extensive City of London knowledge and experience and will provide expertise and guidance as a member of the Company's Audit and Remuneration Committees."
