Sierra Leone Diamond Company Ld18 May 2006 For immediate release 18 May 2006 Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited ("SLDC" or the "Company") Additional Listing on Exercise of Share Options Sierra Leone Diamond Company (AIM : SLD), the diamond exploration company with licence interests wholly focussed in the country of Sierra Leone, announces the exercise of certain share options issued to former employees and consultants of the Company. Sierra Leone Diamond Company announces that on 17 May 2006, pursuant to itsshare option plan it was issued with a "Notice of Exercise of Stock Options"over 2,575,520 common shares of the Company, at an exercise price of 50 penceper common share, from twelve former employees and consultants to the Company.The Company will receive Pounds Sterling 1,287,760 from the exercise of theseshare options. All the 12 former employees and consultants ceased to be serviceproviders to the Company on various dates preceding September 2005 and are therefore no longer deemed to be insiders of the Company. Application will be made for the New Common Shares to be admitted to trading, and these will rank pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares. Dealings on AIM are expected to commence on 22 May 2006.
