Mr Tsutomu Kajita, aged 51, joins the Board of Laura Ashley Holdings plc as MrKimura's replacement as alternate director to Mr Okada. Mr Kajita is currentlyGeneral Manager in the Mergers, Acquisitions and International OperationsDepartment of AEON Co., Ltd., a large Japanese retail conglomerate. In the lastfive years, Mr Kajita has held directorships in The Talbots Inc., Talbots JapanCo. Limited, Tasmania Fedlot Pty. Limited, Laura Ashley Japan Co. Limited, AEON(USA) Inc., Megasports Co., Limited, Warner Mycal Corporation and Orion PowerHoldings.
