DIRECTORATE CHANGES

AIB Group plc (the "Company") announces the following appointments to the Board with effect from 25 April 2019.

Under the terms of the Relationship Framework between the Minister for Finance (the "Minister") and the Company, the Minister has nominated two Non-Executive Directors, Ms Ann O'Brien, and Mr Raj Singh, for appointment to the Board. The required regulatory fitness and probity assessment process has concluded and Ms O'Brien and Mr Singh will join the Board on 25 April 2019.

Richard Pym, Chairman of the Company, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ann and Raj to AIB. Their diverse and extensive experiences will enhance the Board's experience and skills profile."

Ann has over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry. A past student of UCD and later Trinity College Dublin, for the past 20 years Ann has led complex management consulting engagements at many of the world's largest global banking and securities organisations. Her most recent role was as a Principal with Deloitte in New York where she was based for 10 years. Originally from Ireland, Ann has also lived and worked in the UK, Luxembourg and France. 

Raj has thirty-four years' business, risk and governance experience gained in large complex financial services organisations including international, commercial, private and consumer banking, followed by financial conglomerate, reinsurance and insurance and asset management firms. Raj previously served as a non-executive director of a national credit bureau and two publicly traded financial institutions in addition to serving on the Boards of many of the major banking, insurance, reinsurance and asset management subsidiaries of the firms he has worked for including Standard Life Aberdeen plc, Accedere AG, Swiss Reinsurance Company LTD, Allianz SE, and Citigroup. He is currently the Chief Risk Officer and Executive Committee member of EFG International, a Swiss private banking group.

The announcement is made in accordance with Rule 6.6.5 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules and Rule 9.6.11 of the London Stock Exchange's Listing Rules.

The Company confirms that there are no matters requiring disclosure under Rule 6.6.7 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules/Rule 9.6.13 of the London Stock Exchange's Listing Rules relating to any of the aforementioned individuals.
