Annual General Meeting Statement

Applied Graphene Materials, the producer of specialty graphene materials, will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 11.00am today at The Farndale Suite, The Wilton Centre, Redcar, Cleveland, TS10 4RF, during which the Chairman, Bryan Dobson, will make the following statement:

"The Board remains pleased with the progress that the Group is making towards the commercialisation of its products and proprietary technologies; funding customer collaborations and joint development activity as well as continuing to target further production orders. We were delighted to announce our first production order in October following a period of successful collaboration with Century Composites, which demonstrated the mechanical property enhancements that our graphene nanoplatelets deliver.

Reflecting the progress we are making the Company has continued its investment to scale production capacity in order to meet the anticipated customer demand."

About Applied Graphene Materials

Applied Graphene Materials was founded by Professor Karl Coleman in 2010 with its operations and processes based on technology that he initially developed at Durham University. The Group is based at the Wilton Site on Teesside and was admitted to AIM in November 2013.

Applied Graphene Materials has developed a proprietary bottom-up process which produces graphene nanoplatelets of consistently high purity using a continuous process. The Group deploys two patent protected manufacturing processes based on sustainable, readily available raw materials. These processes do not rely on the supply of graphite, unlike a number of other graphene production techniques. Applied Graphene Materials owns the intellectual property and know-how behind these processes.
