Notice of General Meeting
London, 3 May 2013: Further to the announcement on 25 March 2013 in relation to the proposed acquisition of shares representing 10.4% of the issued share capital of First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Company Limited, the Board of Afren plc (the "Company") gives notice that a General Meeting ("GM") of the Company will be held at the offices of White & Case LLP, 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1DW on 20 May 2013 at 2.30 p.m. The notice of the GM was posted to shareholders today.
