Aminex PLC21 March 2007 21 MARCH 2007 AMINEX PLC ("Aminex" or the "Company") RETIREMENT OF DIRECTOR Aminex, the oil and gas company listed on the London and Irish Stock Exchanges,announces with regret the retirement of its non-executive director Mr. AndrewWindham with immediate effect. Mr. Windham has recently accepted an appointmentas Managing Director - Africa Region for Tullow Oil PLC ("Tullow") and considersthat a potential conflict of interest could arise if he were to remain on theboard of the Company. Since Tullow's acquisition of Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman"), recently completed, Tullow has become an interested party in Aminex's12,000 square kilometre Ruvuma licence in southern Tanzania where explorationwork is in progress. Aminex farmed out an interest in this licence to Hardmanin early 2006. Tullow also holds adjacent acreage to Aminex in Madagascar whereAminex is a participant in the 10,750 square kilometre Manja licence, Block3108. Commenting on this announcement Aminex Chief Executive Brian Hall said: "We shall be very sorry to lose Andrew Windham and the strong contribution hehas made during the relatively short time he has been a non-executive directorof the Company.
