Anglo-Eastern Plantations PLC01 August 2005 1 August 2005 ANGLO-EASTERN PLANTATIONS Plc APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Mr Kee Liang Yong has today been appointed an executive director ofAnglo-Eastern Plantations Plc. Mr Kee, who is 48, is a chartered accountant ofthe Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a fellow of the UK Association ofChartered Certified Accountants. For ten years prior to this appointment Mr Kee was chief executive officer ofKumpulan Emas Bhd, a company quoted on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange withinterests in plantations, property development, water engineering and education. Mr Kee will be responsible initially for developing corporate strategy and foroverseeing the operations and expansion of the group. Mr Chan Teik Huat remains chairman and chief executive officer.
