Changes in Directorate and Company Secretary
Mr. Donald Han Low, aged 43, was appointed as Executive Director of Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc (AEP.L) with effect 26 August 2008. Donald Han Low holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from University of Western Australia. His experience encompasses all aspects of investment banking type activities dealing with corporate restructurings, capital raisings and corporate turnarounds. He has held directorships in publicly listed companies on the ASX in Australia and Bursa Malaysia in Malaysia. In the past five years of holding directorships in publicly listed companies, Donald was the Chairman of Liqua Health Corporation Berhad and independent non-executive director of MP Technology Resources Berhad in Malaysia. He is currently a non-executive director of Atech Holdings Limited in Australia.
Mr. David William Smith, aged 59, Finance Director and Company Secretary of Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc, resigned as the Finance Director and Company Secretary with effect 26 August 2008. He has been appointed as an independent non-executive director with effect 26 August 2008.
CETC (Nominees) Ltd has been appointed as the Company Secretary of Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc with effect 26 August 2008.
Mr Donald Han Low has held no directorship in any other publicly quoted company at any time during the previous five years and there are no details to be disclosed by Mr Donald Han Low under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
