Resignation of directors
On 13 November 2009, Clean Energy Brazil announced in its response to the mandatory offer by Global Investors Acquisition LLC (the "Offer") that Antonio Monteiro de Castro, the Company's Chairman, and Richard Jewson, a director of the Company, had indicated that they intended to resign from the board of directors at the end of the offer period. The Offer was declared wholly unconditional on 20 November 2009 and Mr de Castro and Mr Jewson have resigned as directors of the Company with effect from today. Clean Energy Brazil would like to thank Mr de Castro and Mr Jewson for their contribution to the Company; a new Chairman will be appointed in due course.
