Admiral Group PLC14 September 2005 Admiral Group plc Directors'/PDMR interests Admiral Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 9 September 2005: (a) Capita IRG Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Approved Share Incentive Plan ("SIP"), subscribed for 581,000 ordinary shares in the Company at the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, such shares to be held in the SIP trust for the purposes of the SIP; and(b) Capita Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Employee Benefit Trust ("EBT"), subscribed for 685,000 ordinary shares in the Company at the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, such shares to be held in the EBT for the purposes of the Company's employee share schemes(other than the SIP). The executive directors and persons exercising managerial responsibility of theCompany have not received any ordinary shares pursuant to the subscription byCapita Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, but being beneficiaries under the EBT, incommon with other Admiral group employees, their potential interest in theordinary shares held by the EBT has been increased accordingly.
