19 September 2013 African Barrick Gold plc (the "Company" or "ABG") Appointment of Chief Financial Officer ABG is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Wray as Chief FinancialOfficer. Andrew joined ABG as Head of Corporate Development and InvestorRelations in 2010 and has been instrumental in transitioning ABG to a publiccompany and more recently has led the company wide Operational Review which hasidentified over $185 million of potential cost savings initiatives. Prior to ABG, Andrew spent over 13 years at JP Morgan Cazenove where as part ofthe Corporate Finance team he advised a range of mining and other companies intheir capital raising activities and other strategic objectives. Andrew will retain his existing responsibilities in addition to those of hisnew role. Jaco Maritz, who assumed the role of Acting Chief Financial Officerearlier this year, will revert to his original position of Vice President,Finance.
