Conclusion of Audit Tender Process

Aberdeen Group plc ('the Company' or 'the Group') announces that, following the conclusion of a competitive audit tender process led by the Audit Committee, the Board has approved the proposed appointment of Ernst & Young LLP ('EY') as its external auditor to take effect from, and including, financial year ending 31 December 2027, subject to shareholder approval at the Company's 2027 Annual General Meeting.

The comprehensive audit tender process followed the Financial Reporting Council Minimum Standard and involved both large and challenger audit firms. The Audit Committee recommended the appointment of EY, which was approved by the Board.

In line with applicable UK legislation the Group tenders its audit services at least every 10 years and rotates at least every 20 years. 

KPMG LLP ('KPMG') will continue in the role of the Group's auditor for the financial years up to 31 December 2026, which will be KPMG's tenth year as the Group's auditor, subject to shareholder approval. The Board and the Audit Committee would like to express their sincere appreciation to KPMG for their continued service.
