Director/PDMR Shareholding: Share Incentive Plan ('Plan')
Cambridge, UK: Abcam plc (AIM: ABC), a global leader in the supply of life science research tools, has been notified today that on 7 December 2016, following the annual invitation to participate in the Plan, the Trustees of the Plan purchased and granted Ordinary Shares of 0.2 pence per share in the Company at a price of £7.9225 per share under the Plan's Partnership Share and Matching Share Scheme on behalf of the persons listed below:

The risk of forfeiture attached to the Matching Shares will normally be removed on the third anniversary of the award subject to continued employment and the retention of the Partnership Shares in connection with which they were awarded. The above grantees paid the consideration for the Partnership Shares purchased on their behalf, but no consideration was paid by the above grantees in respect of the award of the Matching Shares and no consideration will be due on the release of these shares.
