Close Brothers Venture Cap Tst PLC04 February 2008 Close Brothers Venture Capital Trust PLC Interim Management Statement Introduction I am pleased to present your Company's interim management statement for theperiod from 1 October 2007 to 4 February 2008 as required by the UK ListingAuthority's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 4.3. Financial Position and Performance The Company's approximate unaudited net asset value (NAV) as at 31 December 2007was 112.19 pence per share. This is after accounting for a dividend of 5 penceper share which was paid on 4 January 2008. This is in addition to the dividendof 5p paid on 5 April 2007. This represents0.68% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before thetransaction. These shares will be held in treasury. Buy-backs of treasuryshares during the period were transacted through Winterflood Securities Limited,a subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc.
