ALBION VENTURE CAPITAL TRUST PLC

SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC announces that it purchased 73,179 Ordinary shares at a price of 58 pence per share on 30 March 2009. This represents 0.21% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

These shares will be held in treasury.

Following this transaction, and, in conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following;

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC's capital today consists of 36,003,835 Ordinary shares, with a nominal value of 50p each, with voting rights. The Company holds 975,586 Ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC is 35,028,249.

The figure of 35,028,249 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
