UBC Media Group PLC29 October 2007 UBC Media Group plc ("UBC" or "the company") Licence Agreement with Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK 29th October 2007 As it prepares for the launch of its innovative Cliq(TM) music purchase system,digital radio specialist UBC is pleased to announce that it has reachedagreement with Sony BMG, the only remaining record company that had yet to signup to the service. Sony BMG's extensive catalogue will now be available to all Cliq(TM) customerswhen the instant music buying service for radio listeners launches on 3rdDecember 2007. Cliq(TM) is designed to take advantage of next generation digital radios, whichwill also be broadband Internet devices. These will feature a 'buy' button andenable listeners to purchase songs with a single click from live radio stations.However, in the short term, the service will operate via an application thatis available to 85% of current mobile phone handsets, meaning that radiolisteners can use their mobile phones to instantly identify and purchase musicthat they hear on the radio. Just published audience data from RAJAR shows thatlistening to radio via a mobile phone has grown 29% in the last 12 months with9.2% of the radio audience using this platform. The agreement between Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK and CLIQ will enablecustomers to buy music from Sony BMG UK's extensive catalogue when they hear iton the radio. Sony BMG UK has a diverse portfolio of artists from Elvis andBeyonce to The Hoosiers, Bruce Springsteen and Leona Lewis. This Sony BMG UK licence means that all four major record labels and severalindependent labels are on now board for the official launch of CLIQ.
