3iΒ InfrastructureΒ plcΒ ("the Company")Β announces the appointment ofΒ Sir John CollinsΒ as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1Β JanuaryΒ 2009.Β
Sir John CollinsΒ has beenΒ Chairman of DSG International plcΒ since 2002 and is alsoΒ a director of Rothschild Continuation Holdings AG.Β He was previouslyΒ aΒ non-executiveΒ Director of NM Rothschild & Sons andΒ The Peninsular and OrientalΒ Navigation Company plc.
HeΒ has also served as Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment, Chairman of the DTI's Energy Advisory Panel, Chairman of the DTI/DEFRA's Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board, President of the Energy Institute and as a Governor of Wellington College.
Peter Sedgwick, Chairman of 3i Infrastructure plc, said:
