We regard Rome Resources (RMR.L) as one of the most interesting resource exploration plays on AIM. Based on its Bisie North project, Rome possibly has the potential for a major mine development in the evolving tin/copper province of North Kivu, DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). Bisie North is located along the strike of the Bisie Ridge, 8km to the SE, hosts Alphamin’s (AFM.TSX-V) world class Mpama tin mine and mill. The recent Bisie North diamond drilling programme has yielded highly promising evidence of high-grade tin at the Kalayi prospect and tin-copper-zinc at the Mt Agoma prospect. Assay results are expected by the company in Q1 2025 that could pave the way for a resource assessment and scoping study. Rome announced in late December 2025 a £4.2m strategic investment by the local privately owned resource focused investment company, Stanvic Mining SARL. This deal effectively underpins near to medium-term funding requirements. Importantly, management is highly experienced and includes members who were involved in the Alphamin Mpama discoveries.
