Janiax,
I suppose by most metrics I'm an 'old' investor, having come on when BB was being drilled.
So, have I lost money on UKOG? Yes - never hidden that.
Do I still hold shares in UKOG? Yes - never hidden that either, despite the claims of the Ramptastic crew.
Do I still trade in UKOG shares? No. I very, very rarely day trade/short/whatever, as I can be called away at very short notice by my work.
What I do is run Drilling Rigs for a living - which gives me in depth technical knowledge on the oil industry that the great majority of people don't have.
My initial reason for posting was to help people understand some of the nuances of what was being done on BB, and indeed, what was being proposed by UKOG for HH.
Over time, this morphed into pointing out the holes in the RNS's issued by UKOG, as it became clear that not only were they being very, very careful in what they said in an RNS, it was also that they were omitting information that would normally be included in an RNS.
Todays RNS is a classic example. As it's their only major source of income, you'd expect them to have RNS'd that Horse Hill has been shut in since Mid-October - but nothing.
They did admit to exiting Türkiye, but no details about the cost penalties they were liable for by doing so.
Now, I - obviously - spend what time I am on here pointing out the holes in the claims of the Ramptastic crew trying to generate movement in the share price for their own means.
If you look at the pattern of posting, you will see that it's rare for the Ramptastic crew to actually use any logic, facts or knowledge in their posts.
They prefer to stick to generalisations or posting information that really isn't relevant - like, for example, StockCheques post on the H2 storage project in Germany.
Dsymons thread at 13:06 today is another classic example of a Ramptastic crew post.
Zero factual content, just an initial assertion that doesn’t stand up to the lightest of scrutiny combined with an assertion that is flat out wrong and a claim that the share price will rise substantially.
Note that the Ramptastic crew like to post things as if they were certainties – like “Once they get a grant and external JV partnership” as if both of those were 100% going to happen.
But the truth (easy to find if you DYOR) is that the Govt H2 storage model doesn’t involve giving out grants – the funding model is a price support mechanism for H2 sales AFTER the storage facility has been constructed and filled with H2.
As for an external JV partnership – no Company would partner with a Company which has a market cap of £2.6 Million, has liabilities (P&A and site restoration of BB & HH) that exceed it’s market cap, has a cash burn of over £200k pcm and will need to issue more confetti in the near future just to keep the lights on.
