On the one hand it is good news that shorts are difficult to open, less pressure on the SP - we all expect a rise and therefore an increase in our investment.
On the other, if the big news arrives and shorts are still open, some of these people would be wiped out. Is that a mean thought?
I'm unsure whether YA are still selling, but while they were, shorting FRR was virtually a no lose predictable monthly gamble. It was a bit like my son's U11 football team winning each week with Lionel Messi was playing for them. Then crowing about it and taking the mick out of the opposition (LTH). So on balance I would like people to continue shorting and get completely shafted.
